Verdon Kelliher appointed Samsung New Zealand B2B Sales Director
AUCKLAND, New Zealand – December 12, 2012 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, announced today that it is building its business-to-business presence in New Zealand with a newly-created position of B2B Sales Director.
Verdon Kelliher has been appointed to the role with a primary focus on Samsung’s Hand Held Products (HHP) and IT product categories.
Kelliher joins Samsung from software integration business SIMPL Group (New Zealand) where he was country CEO. He previously held senior sales management positions with Optimation NZ, IBM, Logical Networks, Krone Communications and Telecom.
He completed a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration at the University of Auckland in 2006.
At Samsung New Zealand Kelliher will be responsible for building and leading the newly created B2B sales group.
Samsung New Zealand Country Manager, Mr Chang Kim, says the appointment signals a renewed emphasis on the business-to-business category in New Zealand.
“The primary focus of the B2B Sales Director’s role is to build and lead the newly created sales organisation concentrating on excellence in client service, especially in the HHP and IT categories. Verdon brings excellent credentials to the role, with demonstrated high-level strategic thinking and a hands-on, entrepreneurial can-do attitude.”
