The TV Remains an Elusive Goal for YouTube

December 11, 2012 Last week YouTube rolled out a new channel-centric interface for its browser-based experience. After playing with it this weekend, I'm very pleased with the changes.

Content in which I'm particularly interested is immediately available and it's much easier to switch to my favorite channels, find the latest videos, and play them.

As well, after playing a video I was offered the opportunity to watch another one from that channel without having to return to the list. A key objective of the interface overhaul is to improve engagement and if my experience is anything to go by, the changes should do just that.
