BP Leads Petrol Price Decrease
BP has this morning led a national price reduction on petrol at its company-owned sites. BP has decreased the price of petrol by 4 cents per litre. The prices at most BP-owned service stations are:
91 Unleaded $ 208.9 cents per litre
95 Unleaded
$ 216.9 cents per litre
Ultimate Diesel $ 152.9 cents
per litre
“Since the end of November, we’ve seen a steady decrease in international product prices. Internationally, weaker economic growth may further reduce fuel demand and boost inventories,” BP Communications Manager, Jonty Mills said.
“This coupled with the New Zealand dollar rising to a nine month high and breaking through the 83 cent barrier has enabled us to pass on those benefits this week,” he added.
“Hopefully, leading up to Christmas, this provides some cheer for our customers and we’re pleased to be able to pass on these reductions today,” Mills said.
