Kiwi Experience returns to Christchurch
Kiwi Experience’s legendary big green buses will soon be a common sight again in the heart of Canterbury as the bus adventure company returns to over-night in Christchurch as part of its South Island routes from November 26.
Teaming up with the University of Canterbury, Kiwi Experience travellers will have accommodation guaranteed on the first night, with rooms located in the funky student village near Ilam Gardens.
Kiwi Experience Brand Manager, Liz Lindsay, says they are thrilled Kiwi Experience will be returning to the Garden City which has always been a tourist favourite.
“There’s so much on offer in Christchurch and the surrounding areas – from the Christchurch Gondola, punting on the Avon to the unique Restart shopping mall and pop-up bars. With the university campus providing a handy central location, Kiwi Experience travellers can make the most of their time in the city.
“The campus accommodation is also budget-friendly with dorm prices at a motel standard, meaning travellers have more money to spend on fun activities.”
Kiwi Experience travellers have several tour options to choose from that will run through Christchurch including the Tranz Alpine Back Paddock, Southern Round Up, Kea, Funky Chicken, and The Whole Kit and Caboodle to name a few.
Christchurch was recently named by The Lonely Planet as one of the top 10 cities to travel to in 2013, where the city is expounded for its creativity, flair and sense of energy that is inspiring its rebuild following the tragic earthquakes of 2010 and 2011.
Kiwi Experience was recently named Best Tour Operator and Best Transport Operator at the Golden Backpack Awards - Australasia’s only dedicated awards program for the independent travel sector.
