Alpine Health & Fitness Wins ‘Club of the Year’ at New Zealand Fitness Industry Awards
Alpine Health & Fitness won the Club of the Year Award for a medium-sized gym at the annual NZ Fitness Industry Awards in Auckland on Saturday night. Alpine Health & Fitness was a finalist alongside five other gyms from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Dr Nigel Harris, head judge, senior lecturer at AUT University in Auckland and current chair of Fitness NZ commended Alpine Health & Fitness. “Over 90% of Alpine Health & Fitness members recommend their gym to others and over 90% of the staff have stayed with the club since first opening three years ago. Their impressive growth and high attendance numbers are an indication of happy, loyal members. Their reinvestment is testimony to their ongoing commitment to continued member-centred excellence.”
Manager Richie Heap is very proud to have the Lakes Leisure facility and its staff recognised through the award. “It’s fantastic to have been recognised as being a top notch community health & fitness facility by our peers.”
Lakes Leisure Limited provides sport, leisure and recreation services to the Queenstown Lakes district. Its management portfolio includes three swimming pools, five venues, a health & fitness centre and thirteen sports grounds. Delivering recreation programmes for all ages, aquatic education, learn to swim, and events to the community it is a limited liability company and a council controlled organisation that operates with charitable status.
