Sir Ralph Norris joins The Parenting Place
The Parenting Place is delighted to welcome Sir Ralph Norris to its Board.
CEO Bruce Pilbrow says while Sir Ralph’s extensive experience in the commercial sector - as CEO and managing director of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), and before that with Air New Zealand and ASB - will be an enormous asset to the board, it is his commitment to New Zealand families that makes him particularly suited to the role.
"Sir Ralph joins a dedicated group of people who recognise that The Parenting Place has a valuable role to play encouraging New Zealand parents to do the very best job they can raising their families," says Bruce.
"We are an organisation that is committed to helping all parents, wherever they are on their parenting journey. As a father of three Sir Ralph has been on that journey himself. Now that he and his wife Pam (a previous board director herself) have five grandchildren, they continue to support our mantra that 'Family is Everything'."
Sir Ralph is also currently Director of Fonterra Ltd, Fonterra Shareholder's Fund and Origin Energy Ltd. He is a member of the University of Auckland Council.
