Philips launches a revolution in ironing
Auckland, New Zealand – Philips’ revolutionary new iron, the PerfectCare Pressurised Steam Generator, is the first iron of its kind that can be used on all ironable fabrics in any order, without having to adjust the temperature.
“What’s unique about the PerfectCare’s technology is that it continually releases steam at the optimum pressure, rather than relying on heat,” says Nick Perry of Philips Consumer Lifestyle.
The PerfectCare features groundbreaking OptimalTEMP technology, created by Philips, which works using an innovative Cyclonic Steam Chamber that releases steam at a consistently high pressure, together with a Smart Control Processor that keeps the soleplate at a constant temperature.
OptimalTEMP means that PerfectCare is 100 per cent safe and effective on all delicate fabrics such as silk, wool and synthetic. Even when left on fabrics for five minutes, there is no risk of burning or marking clothes.
PerfectCare has won awards and recommendations from some of the most widely respected organisations in clothing care and research. It is the first iron in the world to meet the specifications for Woolmark Apparel Care Gold, for use on pure wool fabrics, and is also recommended by the International Wool Textile Organisation (IWTO) and DWI, one of the world’s leading independent research institutes on textiles.[1]
With a start-up time of less than two minutes, PerfectCare is also the fastest steam generator on the market, and its 1.5 litre detachable water tank provides up to two hours of ironing without a refill. For added convenience, the PerfectCare features a hassle-free and effective cleaning function that simply requires a twist of a dial to remove all scale.
“Philips is now the number one selling brand in steam generator irons in Europe[2] and we believe New Zealand consumers will be similarly impressed when they see our premium steam generator for themselves,” says Nick Perry.
Philips’ PerfectCare Pressurised steam generator is now available at all leading retailers (product details in attached appendix). For further information about the Philips PerfectCare Pressurised Steam Generator, and other Philips garment care products, visit www.philips.co.nz
