Philips Creates A New Listening Experience For Android Users
Auckland, New Zealand – With a significant increase in the number of people using Android operating systems on their smartphones, Philips has further developed their Fidelio range of speakers to cater to music lovers on these devices.
“The Android operating system is now 75 per cent of the market worldwide, compared to 57.5 per cent last year. With a growing demand for this platform Philips has created a truly unique product for Android users who are obsessed with sound” says Nick Perry, Marketing Manager, Philips Consumer Lifestyle.
Philips have created a first of its kind product that recognises the different shapes and sizes of Android products. The new Fidelio docking range features the uniquely designed Philips FlexiDock, which can be adjusted depending on the height, size and port location of the device. It can also hold the device portrait and landscape and can be rotated 180 degrees, so that no matter what direction your micro USB port faces, it will be the perfect fit.
Philips have released four new models of Fidelio Docking Speakers: AS851, AS351, AS141 and AS111 for Android users. These stylish devices deliver crisp sound clarity and give users the freedom to listen to their favourite tunes anywhere thanks to Bluetooth wireless streaming technology. The range caters for rooms of any size, with larger devices for the living space and smaller units for bedrooms and offices.
All four docking systems come with the Fidelio app, which can be downloaded free from the Android market place. The Fidelio app gives users access to thousands of radio stations worldwide, as well as a wider music collection through the music-sharing feature.
Additional functions include customised music alarms and weather reports. The Songbird music network, a simple and easy-to-use program for your PC (or Macintosh computer using Songbird Version 1.10.1) and Android devices, lets you sync and update your music collection conveniently and efficiently.
