New Certus senior appointment signals transformation
13 November 2012. Certus Solutions – the region’s largest specialist IBM systems integration company – has appointed Phil Ogilvie to the
new position of Solutions Group Director, based in Melbourne but with a region-wide responsibility across Australia and
New Zealand.
Certus managing director Brian Allen says Phil Ogilvie will develop Certus’s capability to be a high level business
partner to its customers, rather than ‘just a technology partner’.

Phil Ogilvie’s appointment to lead and build a Solutions Group within Certus is key to achieving that.”
Phil Ogilvie has 20 years’ experience developing and executing business and IT strategy. He has led significant business
transformation projects in many different industries – from telecommunications and banking to utilities and freight. For
six years he was a senior manager at Downer Group, where his roles included that of General Manager Business
Transformation as part of the Downer EDI Engineering executive leadership team. Immediately prior to joining Certus Phil
undertook consulting roles at Tenix and ANZ Bank.
A prolific speaker and author, Phil Ogilvie has been a speaker at more than 30 conferences in Australia, New Zealand and
the US, and has published papers and articles on topics ranging from Corporate Governance to IT Strategy.
