Night Rider fares slashed to $7
in the lead up to Christmas
Air New Zealand is slashing its ludicrously cheap Night Rider™ fares between Auckland and Wellington to $7 each way in the week leading up to Christmas.
Chief Executive Officer Rob Fyfe says Air New Zealand is making domestic travel more affordable than ever before with these unbelievably low fares which should be a boost to retailers in each city.
"We reckon there are plenty of Wellingtonians and Aucklanders who would love to jump on a plane and head out of town to do their Christmas shopping. Equally, a getaway to either of these two great cities for as low as $14 return per person for a ‘Seat’ fare will be a Christmas dream come true for many Kiwis,” Mr Fyfe says.
The special Night Rider™ $7 ‘Seat’ fares are on sale now for travel between 17 and 24 December, subject to availability. Seat+Bag fares are available for $17.
Air New Zealand launched its Night Rider™ service a week ago today. It sees all 133 seats on the last Boeing 737 flight of the day between Wellington and Auckland slashed to one low price.
Flights depart from
both Auckland and Wellington at 10.00pm every night Sunday -
Friday. On Saturdays Night Rider™ will depart Auckland
for Wellington at 9.00pm, with the return leg departing
Wellington at 10.30pm.
The first Night Rider™
services depart on Monday 5
November.
