Viceroy Hotel Napier Joins Heritage Boutique Collection

The Heritage Boutique Collection (HBC) welcomes the new Viceroy Hotel Napier to its exclusive Collection.

The hotel, set in the former Tennyson Hotel building, is currently completing a multi-million dollar transformation and is due to open in December 2012.

The Viceroy Hotel Napier has 40 completely refurbished rooms and suites furnished with an Art Deco theme, as well as an 80 cover restaurant and conference facilities for 50 people.

The hotel’s restaurant will be called Delmonico's Bistro and Wine Bar and will be presided over by chef Pip Andrews who has worked at Shed Five, Logan Brown and Bouquet Garni to name a few. The restaurant will be bistro style with an Italian-Mediterranean influence and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The property standard is four star-plus and will appeal to corporate and conference markets, plus leisure guests seeking a stylish boutique hotel stay where one can ‘Lounge, Sleep, Play.’

Set centrally in the heart of Napier on the corner of Clive and Tennyson Streets, the hotel is close to the beach, city retail stores, the Art Deco Theatre and Clive Square; site of the popular weekend farmers market. It is also situated at the start of the famous ‘Art Deco Parade.’
