Three New Directors for NZ Law Limited Board
NZ LAW Limited has announced the election of three new directors to its board – Michael de Buyzer, Jacqui Gray and Kristine King. These appointments took effect from 12 October 2012.
Partner in Oamaru and Queenstown law firm Berry & Co, Michael de Buyzer specialises in commercial & agribusiness, estate and asset planning, and also criminal law. Michael has strong community interests being a founding executive member of the Oamaru Police DARE Support group and of the Oamaru Blue Light Committee and is honorary solicitor to many North Otago organisations. He is a director of the Highlanders rugby franchise and Whitestone Contracting Limited.
Jacqui Gray is a partner at Gifford Devine (Hastings and Havelock North); her specialist fields are commercial property, business law and issues relating to the aged. An experienced company director, Jacqui is chairperson of Royston Hospital Trust Board, a director of Acurity Health Group (formerly Wakefield Health Limited) and of Austron Limited. For four years Jacqui was a board member of the New Zealand Law Society, and from 2001-2003 was president of the Hawke’s Bay District Law Society
Aucklander Kristine King is a partner at Wadsworth Ray, based in Epsom. Kristine’s areas of practice are business law, joint ventures, commercial property and trust law. Kristine is the honorary solicitor for the New Zealand Federation of Graduate women; she is also a fluent Japanese speaker.
NZ LAW chairman, Simon Price says, “We welcome these three new directors to the board and we look forward to their contributions to the group. NZ LAW would like to acknowledge the long service to the board of Murray Little of Invercargill member firm, Cruickshank Pryde, and Nicola Roberts from Dannevirke’s Dorrington Poole. Murray and Nicola retire from the board having each completed two terms as directors. We also acknowledge Richard Burcher’s contribution over the last [number] years; Richard has retired from the board to pursue other business interests.”
