Masterton’s Mitre 10 MEGA Named Retail Store of the Year

Masterton’s Mitre 10 MEGA Named Retail Store of the Year

Mitre 10 MEGA Masterton picked up the award for Retail Store of the Year in the up to 4,000m2 of retail showroom area category at the 2012 Hardware Awards held in Auckland last week.

The award recognises Mitre 10 MEGA Masterton’s outstanding store amongst other hardware home décor or builders’ supplies industries.

Mitre 10 MEGA Masterton Member Ejvind Frederiksen is happy with the result, which reflects on how the store is getting it right for their customers.

“We are so pleased to be named the Retail Store of the Year (under 4,000m2). It’s a great feeling to know the judges found our store, staff, merchandising and extra facilities at the standard to be named category winner. I would like to thank my hard-working team for their commitment and dedication to the store. This is a great reflection on their customer service and attention to detail.

“Industry-wide recognition of this accomplishment reiterates our strength as New Zealand’s most trusted brand in home improvement retail,” says Mr Frederiksen.

Mitre 10 MEGA Masterton is a member of the Mitre 10 New Zealand co-operative and one of the 33 Mitre 10 MEGA stores found throughout New Zealand. Mitre 10 is currently refreshing its Mitre 10 stores by changing the livery from blue to orange and extending both the Mitre 10 and Mitre 10 MEGA service through expanded product ranges, merchandising and the enhancement of the in store experience.

“The Mitre 10 MEGA store format is popular with our customers, so it makes sense to capture the elements customers tell us they like and use them to enhance our customer service,” says Mr Frederiksen.
