Costumes, Craft And Rugby – This Unlikely Combo Suggests It’s School Holiday Time

It’s that time of year when the house is full and the weather is still not quite good enough to send the kids outside for the day. Don’t fret – The Palms Shopping Centre has you covered these holidays with activities running through the entire holiday.

Between 1 – 5 October, Eventful Kids will host a creativity centre to give children the opportunity to let their imagination run wild…everything from dress ups, to musical instruments, to large craft tables will be available for children to use between 10am – 2pm. For those parents in need of a spot of quiet shopping, childcare professionals will be present to mind children at the creativity centre for up to an hour.

Between 6 – 13 October, The Palms is hosting an Xbox rugby challenge. Participants could win the opportunity to play against Canterbury Rugby players Corey Flynn, Sean Maitland and Colin Slade. The three rugby players will be in-centre on 11 October from 6pm – 8pm, bringing with them the mighty ITM cup. The cup will be at the centre giving children (and parents) the opportunity to catch a glimpse of its splendour!

The Palms shopping centre manager Simon Carter says he is looking forward to the activity planned.

“This school holiday period makes me want to be a kid again! I’m keen to head to the Xbox challenge myself as I’d like the opportunity to play against one of the Canterbury Rugby players,” he says. “I’m also excited to see the ITM cup up close and personal, as I’m sure many of our rugby fan shoppers will be.”
