“The Canterbury Software Summit has a long reputation of providing high value learning and networking opportunities, but it’s also becoming a great way to inspire our industry and our people,” says Ben Reid, Chair of the Canterbury Software Cluster Committee. “In 2011 the Summit grew to another echelon; this year we have sustained high levels of interest in a top calibre and large scale business technology event in Christchurch.
“Our theme ‘from Startup to Global’ is aligned with the interests of all Kiwi software companies. On the day of the event though you often see topical ‘subthemes’ emerging – last year it was massive growth of mobility and smart phones. I can’t wait to see what this year’s big take-away will be.”
The Summit is made possible through the generous contributions of sponsors: UCONZ, SLI Systems, Clarus, Adscale, PayGlobal, Trineo, NZTE and CDC. And Idealog and Computerworld are our valued media sponsors.

About
the Canterbury Software Summit
Since 2002 the
annual Canterbury Software Summit has been organised by the
voluntary committee of the Canterbury Software Cluster. It
is a popular half-day conference and networking event. It
provides technology entrepreneurs, developers and IT
professionals alike the opportunity to learn from, be
inspired by, and connect with accomplished individuals from
startups to global organisations. Networking is, of course,
one of the major highlights of this event and organisers are
keen to ensure plenty of opportunity for attendees to mingle
with others in the technology sector.
Since 2011 the Summit has partnered with the University Commercialisation Offices of New Zealand (UCONZ) who host the evening networking event and display. The aim of UCONZ and the University-Business Partnerships Initiative is to create stronger university and business partnerships by helping to bring business needs together with university research and identify matches to create value in the New Zealand economy.
The event opens at 11:45am with the main
programme kicking off at 12:15pm, and runs through to 5:30
in the evening, followed by the UCONZ sponsored networking
event from 5.30pm - 8pm. Light lunch, refreshments, drinks
and canapés and Wi-Fi will be provided. To register visit
