ANZO confirms new name, Precinct

AMP NZ Office Limited (ANZO) (NZX: ANO) announced today that it will have a new name, Precinct Properties New Zealand Limited (“Precinct”), from September 28 and a new stock market ticker, PCT.

Scott Pritchard, the company’s Chief Executive, said the change, which shareholders had been advised of with the results announcement last month, was an exciting move that reflected the company’s evolution from an investment product 15 years ago to a property investment business that is now also the country’s only specialist listed owner of premium central city office space.

A key turning point had come in 2010, when ANZO made a number of key governance changes and also shifted to a more client-focused business approach.

“Precinct reflects the business we are today and a belief that our buildings need to both contribute to the life of a city and be places our clients can thrive in. This has been central to our success over the last two years, and is what we will build on as we strengthen our position in quality CBD space in Auckland and Wellington,” he said.
