Final Speakers Join TedxAuckland Line-up
TEDxAuckland is shaping up to be a complete sell-out with only a handful of tickets still available for the October event.
With the event now just weeks away, TEDxAuckland is pleased to announce the names of the inspiring New Zealanders who complete this year’s impressive speaker line-up.
Event organiser Elliott Blade believes the high calibre of this year’s speakers will not only see the event reach full-capacity, but also spark an inspiring relationship between New Zealanders and the TEDx platform.
“It will be a great day of dynamite presentations from some of New Zealand’s brightest. The diverse mix of speakers is sure to ignite some great conversation and see the beginning of an inspiring and thought provoking relationship between New Zealanders and the TEDx platform.”
The final group of speakers for this year’s event include renowned New Zealand poet Sam Hunt; passionate literacy advocate and CEO of Booktrack, Paul Cameron; and CEO of the Gibson Group Victoria Spackman.
Up-and-coming Indie Folk band Five Mile Town will be the day’s featured entertainment. All aged under 19 and with a Silver Scroll nomination already under their belt, they’re tipped to become the next ‘big thing’ in New Zealand Music.
TEDxAuckland is also pleased announce that RadioLIVE DRIVE host and Business Editor Andrew Patterson will MC this year’s event.
Other speakers to take the stage at TEDxAuckland are physicist and political advisor Sean Gourley; change development specialist Paul Wood; physicist and pursuer of the Higgs boson ‘god particle’ David Krofcheck; materials and biomedical engineer Michelle Dickinson; internationally recognised architect Andrew Patterson; Co-founder of medical start-up SIMTICs John Windsor; Founder of the 100 Days Project Emma Rogan; CEO of Arvus Group Matthew Simmons; Dental surgeon and founder of ICARE Assil Russell; Director of The Last Ocean, Peter Young; Comedian, entertainer and social entrepreneur, Philip Patston; Award-winning playwright, Pip Hall; and Aakash Polra, Jade Tan and Mohit Singh, the trio behind software start-up MobileEye.
