M & C Saatchi Appointed to Government Web Panel

The Department of Internal Affairs has just appointed organisations to its first eversyndicated panel of Web Services
suppliers. The Panel consists of experts from a range of web disciplines who can now be called upon by government
agencies to provide services without the need for complex or costly pitches.
M Saatchi, who has recently made significant investment in their in-house digital capability, has been accepted onto the
panel.
"Our team is different to the traditional web supplier model, which we believe is becoming a bit blinkered and siloed.
We've hired some of the best web specialists in NZ, but they're part of a wider team of design, creative and strategic
marketers. We have our roots in the heavyweight development of the web, but also obsess about the real-world results of
what we produce." said Ben Pujji - M Saatchi's Head of Digital. The panel has been appointed for an initial term of 2 years, although there is no
requirement for Government agencies to use the panel, which is offered on an opt-in basis. Participating agencies and
suppliers jointly agree to a common, carefully considered terms of business that is the backbone of the panel concept.
"We're delighted to be able to offer our services to the panel." said Aaron White - M Saatchi's General Manager "That it is optional means it will have to survive on its merits. If we (the suppliers)
collectively provide good, honest value for money and deliver great work, we'll have helped create a system that
benefits everyone involved. We're completely committed to that."
Says Pujji, "We're really looking forward to working with participating government agencies to help them create
beautiful, usable, and smart web solutions for the modern web. The streamlining of procurement will hopefully mean we
can spend more time and energy on doing great work and less on the journey of getting to the start line." For more
