September 2012
VMob Limited, one of the world’s first location-based marketing platforms to accurately target the lucrative mobile market, has been named a 2012 Red Herring 100 Asia Award winner.
The prestigious Red Herring 100 awards highlight exciting startups identified to grow at an explosive rate from Asia, Europe and the Americas.
VMob was selected from hundreds of companies across the telecommunications, security, software, hardware, biotech and mobile industries that underwent a rigorous selection process before presenting its winning strategies at the Red Herring Asia Forum in Hong Kong.
VMob CEO, Scott Bradley, said being named a Red Herring 100 winner is a great honour and testament to the VMob team, its market strategy, strength of development and innovative technology.
“Red Herring highlights successful tech companies that are leading the charge in innovation across the globe and we’re delighted to receive this prestigious award.
“We’re currently executing our global expansion plans and this accolade will further help us capitalise on our success in the Asian markets as well as creating further business opportunities through the Red Herring network,” said Bradley.
VMob’s technology platform delivers an appealing proposition for Mobile Network Operators looking to create new revenue streams from their customers. Its cloud-based technology platform easily integrates with Mobile Operators’ existing technology and can quickly scale to service any number of subscribers. Operators can immediately extract insights and build stronger relationships with customers, and ultimately increase revenues.
With two MOUs with APAC-based telecommunications providers, and one contract expected to be signed shortly, VMob has set itself a target of seven telco deals by the end of 2013. Progress to date shows it is well on the way to achieving that goal.
