Transfield Services appoints NZ Executive Director
Transfield Services announced today that John Brockies has been appointed to the role of Executive Director New Zealand, effective from 23rd October 2012.
During the past 10 years Mr Brockies has been in the roles of General Manager Group Operations at electrical lines company United Networks Ltd, Chief Executive at Siemens Energy Services Ltd, Chief Executive at the North Shore Council and Chief Executive at Regional Facilities Auckland Ltd which owns and operates major stadia and performance venues.
Most recently his interim management roles have included that of Chief Operating Officer at Watercare Ltd, Auckland’s integrated water and wastewater utility. His responsibilities for major projects have included the Northern Busway, the Northern Ocean Outfall as well as construction projects such as the Auckland Art Gallery and new Viaduct Event and Convention Centre. He has an extensive background in the establishment and operation of field services and professional services outsourcings.
Mr Brockies will be based in Auckland and have a local focus on developing emerging business opportunities across all the Company’s industry groups, and providing market facing senior regional representation.
