News Release
PwC is recognised as New Zealand’s Most Reputable Professional Services Organisation
PwC is honoured to be named New Zealand’s Most Reputable Professional Services Organisation in a survey by the Hay Group/NZ Management Magazine. The accolade follows a survey of senior business leaders asking them to nominate the organisations they deem to be most reputable and why.
PwC New Zealand’s Chief Executive Officer Bruce Hassall says, “We’re thrilled to be recognised by the business community and named New Zealand’s Most Reputable Professional Services Organisation.
“At PwC, we pride ourselves on being New Zealand’s leading professional services firm. Adding New Zealand’s most reputable professional services organisation to that title is an honour, and something every one of our people have contributed to.”
It’s the third year the Hay Group/NZ Management magazine survey has been conducted, yet this year is the first it has been expanded to include professional services organisations. The nominated organisations were judged against a number of criteria including: Senior leadership, corporate social responsibility, innovation and quality of product or service.
PwC took out top spot in the professional services organisations section.
Mr Hassall told NZ Management Magazine PwC’s reputation is based on culture, people and quality.
“Our success comes from a drive to make a difference professionally, by building relationships based on trust and creating value. Coupled with, being committed to leading business practices, corporate responsibility and contributing to the debate on issues impacting the business community and all New Zealanders.
“Part of our success comes from having the best culture we can, based on values we believe in. A lot of work goes into making sure our people feel part of our success and empowering them to be comfortable in the knowledge they are the PwC brand. Everyone at PwC has a part to play in building and maintaining our reputation,” says Mr Hassall.
Mr Hassall also believes navigating through the GFC means leaders have learned the hard way that having a sustainable business isn’t just about maintaining profitability, a great reputation is fundamental to your long term business success.
“There’s never been a saying more true than, ‘you don’t realise the value of your reputation until you don’t have one’. That’s why it’s important business leaders put in place measures to track their organisation’s reputation, externally and internally, and not get complacent.
“We know from internal surveys 91 percent of our people are proud to work at PwC. This month’s accolade as the Hay Group/NZ Management magazine survey’s most reputable professional services organisation is the cherry on the cake,” concludes Mr Hassall.
