Philips Launches New Model Of Top-Selling Aquatouch For A More Comfortable And Convenient Wet Shave
Auckland, New Zealand – Philips is pleased to announce the launch of a new model of its top-selling wet and dry electric shaver, AquaTouch, for
a more comfortable and convenient wet shave.
The launch of the new shaver is part of Philips’ Express Yourself Every Day campaign, which recognises and celebrates the trend towards men seizing opportunities for self-expression.
Brand ambassador for Philips’ electric shavers and high profile sportsman, Dan Carter, shows people another side of
himself as part of the campaign. As someone with a demanding schedule, he appreciates the convenience of the AquaTouch.
“The AquaTouch allows me to quickly maintain my clean shave – wet or dry. It gives me a really close shave without any
skin irritation,” says Dan Carter.
The first model in the AquaTouch range was launched in July last year and is Philips’ biggest selling shaver to date. It
features an in-built seal, Aquatec, which fully waterproofs the shaver for use with shaving gel or foam for enhanced
skin comfort, rounded, low-friction protection caps that automatically adjust to the curves of the face, and a Super
Lift & Cut feature which helps to lift hairs away from the skin before cutting them to guarantee a close shave.
Philips’ new AquaTouch, the AT940, has the same features as the original model, as well as a longer rechargeable shave
time of 60 minutes and Triple Track Heads which offer 50% more shaving surface, for an even faster close shave.
“Many men may have tried an electric shaver once years ago and perhaps don’t appreciate how the technology has improved.
By introducing AquaTouch into their wet shaving routine, men can opt for the clean shaven look in the confidence that
they don’t have to compromise on skin safety and comfort,” says Nick Perry, of Philips Consumer Lifestyle.
In addition to the AquaTouch, Philips is launching two other new male shaving and grooming products: Styleshaver, a
completely new concept for Philips, and a new model of the SensoTouch 3D range. The Styleshaver QS6140 enables men who prefer facial hair to trim, style and shave with one single product, and the new Philips SensoTouch 3D
RQ1285 wet and dry electric shaver comes with a click-on Beard Styler with five length settings.
Men can try out Philips’ new shaving and grooming products during the Philips ‘Groom Room’ tour, launched by Dan Carter
in Auckland on 10 August. The tour will visit over 70 venues in 12 locations throughout New Zealand to offer grooming
