At the August 2012 Air New Zealand Awards Night, Rick Wood from Auckland scooped the prize for TOP Travel Broker nationwide for the financial year 2011-2012.

In addition Rick also picked up a prize of being in the TOP 10 Air New Zealand retail sellers nationwide.

The Air New Zealand Awards Night is to thank and celebrate all the top retail performers within Air NZ that made company revenue of any kind in the past year.

Targets were set for each division and only the top achievers are invited to the awards night. This covered the divisions of the Call Centre with the Air NZ 0800 number, retail outlets like the Holiday Shoppes, travel brokers, Koru Memberships, and other ancillary retail divisions.

In order to be invited to represent the broker division a broker has to earn over $1 million dollars’ worth of sales in a financial year. Of the over twenty travel brokers in NZ only four brokers achieved that. Rick was one of them. In addition he was the top broker achieving well in excess of $1 million in sales.
