The National Board of Habitat for Humanity New Zealand has appointed Craig McFarlane as new Chairman.
Craig has extensive corporate, business and governance experience both in NZ and overseas.
Craig is a resident of Waihi Beach (formerly Hamilton) and as well as his Board involvement with Habitat for Humanity is
the Chairman of the Midlands Regional Health Network Charitable Trust and is involved in numerous other businesses.
Craig is a former Chair and Board Member of Waikato Primary Health Ltd (a PHO), former director of The Sustainable
Business Network (Waikato and National), former Director of The Waikato Chamber of Commerce, a former CEO in the Perry
Group, and a former resident in Singapore (working in an Asia/Pacific Commercial role for a brewery). Prior to that
Craig had twelve years in various commercial roles with DB Breweries. Craig has an MBA through the Henley Management
College (UK).
Craig says that as Habitat for Humanity approaches 20 years of working in New Zealand, he is looking forward to the
challenges ahead as Habitat responds to the needs of safe, affordable housing in New Zealand and overseas and this being
a catalyst in bringing communities together so that everyone has a decent place to live.
