Quest opens a ‘home away from home’ in Tauranga
Spring is the time to welcome the new, and that’s certainly the case for Quest Serviced Apartments which opens its doors in the heart of Tauranga this season. On September 1, Quest Serviced Apartments will open at the site of the former ‘Kingsview Resort’ on Durham Street, providing a new accommodation option for visitors to the Bay of Plenty.
Stephen Mansfield, CEO of Quest Serviced Apartments, says feedback from corporate and government guests who frequent Quest’s accommodation facilities nationwide highlighted Tauranga as a priority location for a Quest complex. “It will be great to provide our clients with the Quest experience in Tauranga,” he says.
Quest Tauranga offers a mix of 28 studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments, ample undercover car-parking and a meeting room facility.
The inner-city apartment complex is conveniently located to the vibrant business, shopping and entertainment precinct.
The arrival of Quest Serviced Apartments in Tauranga follows upgrades and refurbishments to the existing building to create Quest’s signature ‘home away from home’ feel. Transforming the existing property into the Quest brand marks a milestone for the apartment chain. “We normally focus on establishing purpose built operations to meet our client requirements, focusing on the right location, room configuration, supporting services and the ability to deliver this all at a value for money basis, however taking over and rebranding the business at the Kingsview Tower made perfect sense for Quest,” says Stephen.
The Tauranga property will be owned and operated by franchisees Sally and Duncan Drummond. The husband and wife duo are returning home to Tauranga, which they left more than 20 years ago, to run the venue. Prior to this, the Drummonds owned the Quest St Pauls franchise in Wellington.
Quest Serviced Apartments, 6 Durham Street, Tauranga, is open for business from September 1, 2012. For more information or to make a reservation please visit
