Paper Plus Group proud to support Red Nose Day
The Paper Plus Group threw out a challenge to all Paper Plus and Take Note stores nationwide this month, to raise money
for Red Nose Day, helping fund life changing and life saving research for young Kiwi kids.
Paper Plus is pleased to announce that from these efforts, an excess of $150,000 has been raised, all in the name of
charity.
Rob Smith, Paper Plus Group CEO says, “We are proud to be an integral supporter of Cure Kids and we’re committed to
seeing these proceeds change the lives of children throughout the country. Our store owners have surpassed expectations
this year and have fundraised by holding in-store events, street parties and bake-offs – not to mention the donations
received from those famous red noses.”
“Getting a little silly for this serious cause to raise awareness amongst our customers and local schools remains our
fundamental goal, and I’m thrilled that this has once again been achieved. Presenting Cure Kids with this donation is a
nod to all those hard working communities whose continual efforts to drum up support paid off,” adds Smith.
Approximately one child in every 30 in New Zealand - roughly one in every classroom - lives with a life-threatening
illness or genetic malformation, and Cure Kids is dedicated to funding child health medical research.
“This year there was a real drive to get local schools from every community on board, and we saw some fantastic
initiatives coming from schools, who were encouraged to register in store to go in the draw to win an unforgettable trip
to Europe. A huge congratulations goes to Ohope Beach School who celebrated by singing for the cause, all dressed in
red.”
Ohope Beach School was announced as the big winner of the trip on Red Nose Day: Comedy for Cure Kids comedy marathon on 24th August.
One hundred percent of money raised from all donations will go directly to Cure Kids.
All Paper Plus and Take Note stores were behind the campaign, with staff helping out local schools in communities
throughout New Zealand.
