Paper Plus Coastlands winning streak
Local books and stationery store, Paper Plus Coastlands has been awarded as the best in the country, receiving the prestigious title of Supreme Award Coastlands Retailer of the Year, as well as the Coastlands 2012 Specialty Category Winner.
The announcement was made recently at the Retailer Awards, held at the Rimu Room in the Coastlands Shoppingtown, which saw Paper Plus Coastlands go up against some of the Coast’s finest retailers.
The store recently celebrated other outstanding achievements, taking out the top spot for book sales at the Paper Plus Gala Awards, and the THORPE-Bowker Group Bookshop of the Year at the Booksellers NZ Conference Dinner & Industry Awards.
Store owners Rob and Kaye Clarke were thrilled to receive the recognition amongst the stiff competition of other worthy retailers. They say that all the awards are the result of a fantastic team who work towards a quality retail environment.
“This year has been an absolute ride and receiving this award on the back of our other recent achievements is recognition for 33 years of hard work and dedication – it’s the icing on the cake!” says Rob. “We would be nothing without our team who are the faces of this business. We continually encourage them to provide the best solution and in-store experience for all our customers.”
“We’ve worked particularly hard to expand our business into the community, and we’ve seen real benefits come from this. It’s a tough retail environment and throughout this difficult time, we’ve looked to innovate and become more relevant for our customers and community, this has propelled our business beyond measure,” adds Rob.
Paper Plus Group Chief Executive, Rob Smith, says: “It’s an outstanding achievement for Paper Plus Coastlands to walk away with yet another award. Rob, Kaye, and their passionate team are a true example of a group who have consistently raised the bar, striving for greater results with every passing year. It’s so pleasing to see our store owners pursue initiatives amongst the community whilst maintaining an enormously successful store.”
