Tui Secures Broadcast Sponsorship for the ITM Cup
Tui Beer is proud to announce it has signed an agreement with Sky TV, to obtain the broadcasting rights of the 2012 ITM Cup season.
Beginning on the 23rd August, broadcast on SKY TV and Prime, the ITM Cup will see the best of the best kiwi provincial talent take to the rugby field. This year New Zealand’s most popular beer brand Tui, will help ensure the lads miss none of the ITM rugby action as the official broadcast sponsor.
The ITM Cup broadcast sponsorship enables the Tui brewery to incorporate its brand logos into live televised matches, including banded scoreboards, programme trailers, programme titles and baseline statistical information.
The Tui Brewery has a rich history with ITM Cup and Heartland Rugby supplying the ‘magic water’ to ITM teams Wellington, Canterbury, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki and Manawatu. Tui sponsored Heartland Championship rugby teams include Wairarapa Bush, Wanganui and King Country.
The Tui brand has had a vested interest in NZ Rugby over the years with team sponsorships; however the brand has not held TV broadcasting rights to rugby since the 2004 Super Rugby competition.
