High Growth Hotly Contested
Local businesses have been hotly contesting the High Growth category in this year’s Electra Kapiti Horowhenua Business Awards.
Business Kapiti Horowhenua has just revealed the eleven finalists for the awards that will be announced in October. Seven are from Kapiti and four from the Horowhenua.
Chair of BKH and one of the assessors, Mark Ternent says the assessors and the judges were impressed with the high standard of finalists. He says they are all well rounded in the key aspects of business practice.
The Kapiti finalists are: Aura RedEye, Jomp Hair Design, Kitchen Creators, Mitre 10 Mega Kapiti, Paula’s Furniture and Beds, Peter Jackson Plumbing and Vista de Sol.
The finalists located in Horowhenua are: Classic Apparel and Print, the Flower Boutique, Parlato and Associates and Wholesafe.
Entrants in the awards were individually examined before the assessors presented and discussed their findings with a judging panel headed by economist and former PriceWaterhouseCoopers partner, Suzanne Snively.
The winners of category and excellence awards and the supreme title of Electra Business of the Year will be announced at a gala dinner event in the Horowhenua Events Centre on Friday 12 October.
