US Federal Appeal Court upholds Myriad Gene patent

(sticK - 21 August 2012 ) A US appeals court has for a second time upheld the validity of the Myriad Genetics gene patent. In its 16 August 2012 decision.

The same judges again decided 2 to 1 in favour of Myriad for the same reasons as in their July 2011 decision. Each of the judges expanded on her or his reasoning, but their conclusions remained unchanged.
