Palmerston North Tops for Best Pizza Manager
You can find some of New Zealand's best pizza in Palmerston North - just ask top pizza award winner Cameron Gray!
Gray, who manages Domino's Terrace End, picked up the Franchise Manager of the Year (NZ) at the Domino's Pizza Australia and New Zealand Rally Awards 2012, the chain's top accolade for the franchise manager who performed the best in the country over a 12-month period.
The award recognises the achievements of managers with outstanding performance in all categories, who are also able to motivate and inspire staff.
Gray says he is both humbled and delighted by the win.
"Working for a company like Domino's, you really get to meet many hardworking and dedicated people every day who also deserves to win this prize. All I can say is that I can't imagine a better line of work to be in for a passionate pizza lover, and I enjoy being able to go into work and connect with our customers by bringing them a quality product."
Domino's chief executive officer Don Meij says that Gray embodies the corporate spirit and culture of the company.
"This award is really about recognising who has lived up to the potential we saw in them when they first joined the Domino's family. The Terrace End store has done exceptionally well under Cameron's management, and we are very happy to acknowledge and reward his skill, talent, patience and dedication."
The Domino's Rally, which was held in Brisbane this week, is a special celebration for Domino's employees and aims to boost team spirit and reward the success of outstanding team members across the entire Domino's family, while encouraging others to aspire to the same standard of extraordinary sales and operational care.
