Young Farmer elected to FCANZ Board
New Zealand Young Farmer member Mark Lambert has been elected to the board of the Fencing Contractors Association of New Zealand (FCANZ). FCANZ is an industry organisation that supports and benefits the fencing industry of New Zealand.
The 2012 FCANZ AGM was held at the Waipuna Conference Centre, Auckland on 27, 28 and 29th of July. There were eight nominees for seven spots on the board which went to a vote and Mr Lambert was elected for a one year term.
A group of dedicated fencing contractors launched The Fencing Contractors Association of New Zealand Inc. (FCANZ) in February 2006.
The fencing industry immediately embraced FCANZ with the purpose of encouraging and developing professionalism and the highest standards of fencing in New Zealand.
26 year-old Lambert works as a fencing contractor and is an active Young Farmer member of the Marton Young Farmers Club and immediate past Taranaki/Manawatu Regional Chair.
Mr Lambert’s involvement with the Young Farmers organisation has put him in good stead for his role on the Board.
New Zealand Young Farmers Network Manager Sara Russell says “Young Farmers are experienced at leadership and governance at a young age; these are portable skills that can take them anywhere.”
His involvement with Young Farmers encouraged him to get involved in other organisations and in his case FCANZ.
“We are delighted Mark has been elected to the board of our organisation. He brings a wealth of knowledge and shares ideas from his experiences and involvement with New Zealand Young Farmers” FCANZ Operations Manager Suzy Alsop said.
