Contractors’ federation welcomes InfraTrain and SCIRT training partnership
The New Zealand Contractors’ Federation has welcomed the training partnership between InfraTrain and the Stronger Christchurch Infrastructure Rebuild Team (SCIRT).
The infrastructure industry training organisation and SCIRT have signed a memorandum of understanding for delivery of training services for workers for Christchurch’s horizontal infrastructure rebuild.
Federation chief executive Jeremy Sole said: “This is an extremely beneficial arrangement and exactly the type of activities the industry needs to have its training organisations involved in.
“Congratulations to InfraTrain and SCIRT for taking the initiative to work together for the common good of the industry.
“This is crucial to the successful rebuild of the horizontal infrastructure in Christchurch, including work relating to roads, freshwater, wastewater and stormwater provision. It will also provide long term benefits bringing new skilled people into the New Zealand contracting industry.”
