Global real estate giant opens for business in Hawke’s Bay

When the doors open this week at NZ Sotheby’s International Realty’s Hawke’s Bay office, they will usher in a new way of doing real estate business in the region.

The Hawke’s Bay office, situated in Te Mata Road, Havelock North, is one of a network of 600 Sotheby’s International Realty offices across 45 countries and territories selling unique and premium property. It is opening with an impressive portfolio; ten properties are already on the books including Parkhill Estate, an elegant country home set amongst vineyards and farmland in coastal Hawke’s Bay, and ‘Matarangi’, a luxury home located on 160 acres of prime Tukituki Valley land.

Opening the doors is managing director Fraser Holland and a team of six experienced sales associates, including licensed agent Lyn Hann, former Bayleys’ top sales consultants Jacqui Taylor and Libby Butler; and Raksha Lawrence, previously a leading consultant with Tremains.

“The business has recruited the ‘best of the Bay’, says Mr Holland. “Whilst the team may be small in terms of numbers, it is unparalleled in terms of expertise and experience with a combined total of 97 years of experience in selling property.”

For Ms Taylor, the backing of NZ Sotheby’s International Realty resources and reputation for quality and service was key in her decision to join the boutique team.

Libby Butler, who recently left her stellar real estate career in Auckland to move home to Havelock North, feels NZ Sotheby’s International Realty, with its reputation and standards, is a perfect match for her skills.

For Mrs Lawrence, NZ Sotheby’s International Realty’s ability to link vendors with a global audience was an important factor in her decision to join the company, calling it “the ultimate realty destination”.
