World’s Largest Mobile Café Franchise Launching In New Zealand
Cafe2U, the world’s largest mobile espresso coffee franchise, has crossed the Tasman and the first franchise launched early this month in New Zealand. With a highly developed coffee culture, New Zealand’s discerning market was earmarked as an ideal fit for the Australian-born franchise system.
“We are confident New Zealanders seeking self-employment opportunities will quickly see the business potential, financial security, and lifestyle benefits Cafe2U has to offer,” says Cafe2U International Managing Director Derek Black.
With 125 franchisees in Australia, 66 in the UK and following their successful launch in the United States last year, Black identified New Zealand’s strong coffee culture as the perfect fit for expansion into a new international location.
Cafe2U introduced their inaugural franchisee in Hamilton, the first of many they hope to see manning the distinctive, red Cafe2U Mercedes Benz van in New Zealand.
Stephen Vickers has purchased the first Cafe2U franchise in Hamilton, and sees his new venture as an ideal opportunity not only as the first person on the ground in New Zealand, but one with potential to expand his franchise operations with Cafe2U. He envisionsexpanding with a further franchise in Hamilton together with his son, before moving further afield into Auckland. Vickers was introduced to Cafe2U during his 10 year stint in Victoria, Australia.
“I made the decision to move back to my hometown of Hamilton and was looking for small business opportunities. I had been a long term Cafe2U customer in Australia and with the coffee culture and climate in New Zealand I thought Cafe2U would be a great fit. On top of this I was very attracted to the simplicity of the business model. Not having to worry about staff, rent or a landlord was very attractive,” said Vickers.
Cafe2U sees great opportunity and potential for rapid growth and development in New Zealand based on the success of Cafe2U internationally. Derek Black believes the company’s international and local success comes from the superior product they offer, as well as the attractive incentives and support provided by Cafe2U.
“What differentiates Cafe2U from the other coffee franchises, for example, is that we introduced the ‘Acceleration Package,’ a unique, comprehensive four week training and support program for all new Cafe2U Franchise Partners,” he explained.
Already successful in launching over 50 franchises around Australia, the Acceleration Package means that Cafe2U Franchise Partners benefit from the rewards of business ownership and capitalise on franchise opportunities sooner.
After the first two weeks of training (1 in the classroom and 1 pre-launch), a dedicated Franchise Coach will accompany the new Franchise Partner for a further two week period, working in the new Franchise Partner’s territory. Here the focus is on showing the new Franchise Partner the steps to building a sustainable business, from the moment the new business is launched.
With the support of a dedicated Franchise Coach in building new business, the new Franchise Partner is able to concentrate on getting to know their new customers.
“The core Cafe2U business model is built around the daily servicing of business parks, business centers and industrial estates and has been internationally proven with each franchise making a daily run of 25 to 30 stops at businesses employing between five and 50 staff. Within those businesses, franchisees deliver on-time every day, to regular customers.”
2012 marks the fourth consecutive year that Cafe2U has been listed by one of Australia’s leading business magazines, Business Review Weekly, as one of their Fast Franchises - an honour given to Australia’s fastest growing franchises using key indicators.
Of particular significance is the fact that for the past two years, Cafe2U has been awarded Australia’s fastest growing coffee franchise in the BRW listings.
