UATP Announces New Oceania Regional Commercial Manager
Craig Bowen has joined UATP as Regional Commercial Manager, Oceania, effective immediately. Bowen's focus will be to expand the UATP Network and support the current UATP Issuers in the region, Qantas Airways and Air New Zealand.
"I'm very pleased to be joining UATP at such an exciting time of development and growth," stated Craig Bowen. "There are significant untapped opportunities in the Oceania region for airlines and the corporate market in general to capitalize on the various benefits and cost savings of the UATP program."
Bowen's experience in the travel industry includes more than 30 years in
Wholesale, Retail, Corporate, Online, Financial Services and IT/GDS. Before UATP, Bowen worked as the eCommerce Manager for The Travel Corporation in Australia.
"Craig brings a vast amount of industry knowledge to UATP," said David Holmes, Vice President, Global Sales. "We are very excited that he has joined our team. His strengths and expertise will be instrumental in helping UATP to grow its presence in this very important region."
UATP had a record breaking year in 2011 which they hope to recreate in 2012. UATP processed approximately US$ 13 billion, signed five new airline Issuers and increased transaction volume from existing Issuers by 17%.
