Blueprint - a giant step forward - Anthony Leighs (Leighs Construction)

Leighs Construction, one of Christchurch’s foremost construction companies, sees the unveiling of the blueprint as a giant step forward in the planning for Christchurch, bringing surety and direction in the future of the city and confidence for those looking to move back into the CBD.

Anthony Leighs, of Leighs Construction, said that while they have been actively involved in rebuilding work over the last year, it has really just been nibbling around the edges.

“Now everyone can start to plan with a high degree of surety and a great deal of resolve. A rebuild of this scale requires minute planning and tremendous financial commitment, both nationally and internationally.

“Identifying these anchor projects creates the building blocks on which the city will be rebuilt. Both from a businessperspective and from that as a proud Cantabrian, the road ahead will not bewithout its challenges, but the results will be amazing.

“We have the chance to create a world-class city and CCDU’s guidance in the preparation of this blueprint is a great initial step,” he said.
