Air NZ Airpoints can become ‘Shairpoints’

Air NZ Airpoints can become ‘Shairpoints’

Air New Zealand Airpoints members can now pool their Airpoints Dollars with family and friends, making it quicker and easier to fly.

In an expansion of the current Airpoints gifting programme, New Zealand based members can now pool their Airpoints Dollars with up to four other members – including two who reside at a different address.

“Opening a Shairpoints Account is a great way for families or groups of friends to combine their Airpoints balances to create more buying power to purchase flights and other rewards,” says David Mackrell, General Manager of Loyalty.

“This is a simple way in which people can make the most of their Airpoints Dollars and adds to the improved flexibility introduced a few months ago when we launched the OneSmart card. OneSmart allows people who are short on Airpoints dollars to pay for a flight to top up their account using their OneSmart account.”

Airpoints members who open a Shairpoints account between now and the end of August will also go into the draw for one of 10 chances to have their account boosted by 2,000 Airpoints Dollars. Further details are available at www.airnz.co.nz/shairpoints.
