Crafted for comfort, power and performance the new VAIO S Series weighs just 1.59kg1 and measures a slim 22.8mm2.
Elegantly styled in tough, weight-saving materials, it also features a new slot-in optical drive which not only
maintains the notebook’s slim, low-profile looks but increases the rigidity of the frame and strengthens the body.

Available in both 13.3" LCD or a full-size 15.5" LCD, the slim, full-flat design of the VAIO S Series fits easily into a
travel bag for quick access whenever you need it. Plus, with the optional Extended Sheet Battery3 providing up to 12
hours4 battery life it can handle the demands of the toughest working day.

Smart, ergonomic operation is matched with plenty of power to handle whatever the day throws at you. With 3rd generation
Intel® Core™ i7 Processor5, as well as a Dynamic Hybrid Graphics System that uses two graphics processors to best suit
the application being run (using either a NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 640M LE GPU6 with dedicated VRAM* or integrated Intel® HD
Graphics 4000), the VAIO S Series makes light of you daily work and entertainment needs.

Optimized design
The VAIO S Series is crafted to be carried in comfort. It weighs just 1.59 kg and measures a slim 22.8 mm full-flat body
featuring a carbon lid. This material is lighter than aluminium while maintaining enough durability for people on the
go. The hexa-shell edge design increases the PC’s mobility by providing the essential lightness and rigidity to the
body, while also adding a unique character to the appearance. The large palm rest is moulded from a single piece of thin
aluminium that provides essential strength while also reducing weight and ensuring a slim profile, providing solid
support for users who spend long hours with their PCs.
The shape of the Extended Battery is also full-flat which allows the S Series to remain slim thus allowing you to easily
carry it out even with the Extended Battery attached. It is easy to insert and remove from the bag thanks to the slim
profile.
Smart Thinking
Web chats and movies are now clearer and crisper than ever thanks to xLOUD™ and Clear Phase™ audio technologies.
Alternatively, switch to Dolby® Home Theatre® V4 for rich, cinema-style audio via speakers or headphones.
The new VAIO also makes a handy ‘any time’ charger for your smartphone. Simply plug in your phone via USB for a top-up –
