Matthew Cody Appointed General Manager of AMI

AMI’s current Executive Manager Information Support, Matthew Cody, has been appointed General Manager of AMI, effective from 1 July.

AMI is part of IAG’s family of general insurance brands. In announcing the appointment, IAG’s New Zealand CEO Jacki Johnson said that Mr Cody offered strong experience from previous external marketing and sales roles, as well as from his 11 years in executive positions at AMI, covering marketing and technology.

“Matt has the passion, energy and drive that will be critical to AMI’s success as one of New Zealand’s leading direct insurance brands,” Ms Johnson said, “He has been part of building recognition for AMI’s customer care philosophy, and the continuity of this vision will be invaluable as AMI’s integration with IAG progresses.”

Mr Cody said that he was looking forward to the opportunity to lead AMI.

“AMI has a dedicated team of professional and caring staff who have a genuine desire to help our customers and play an active role in the many communities in which we are represented. The opportunity to work with such a great team to continue AMI’s focus on customer care is very exciting,” he said.
