Sacred Hill Vineyards toasts global and local expansion
Hawke’s Bay based, boutique winery Sacred Hill Vineyards today announced it is expanding its local and global operations.
Sacred Hill has launched a new company, Sacred Hill Wine Company, to drive sales and distribution of its highly-regarded wine portfolio into channels within New Zealand and abroad.
Sacred Hill’s portfolio includes Sacred Hill Orange Label, Halo and Special Selection tiers as well as Ti Point, Whitecliff, Gunn Estate and Wild South.
Managing Director of Sacred Hill Vineyards, David Mason, says after 25 years of focusing on crafting some of New Zealand’s best wines, Sacred Hill will now take a more active role in promoting its portfolio in New Zealand and the global marketplace.
“The launch of Sacred Hill Wine Company will create approximately a dozen new jobs domestically and in the medium term will see further expansion of our portfolio into international markets such as Australia and the United States of America,” Mr Mason says.
“This is very exciting for us, and we look forward to applying the same passion we have applied to crafting our fine wines, to enhancing our customers’ wine experience directly.”
“We’ve invested significantly to ensure we have the right people on board, the best technology to support our business and internal processes designed to best understand and serve our customers.”
“It enables us to get closer to our customers, and bring them closer to the people who craft the wine,” says Mr Mason.
Sacred Hill has invested in new technology; an e-commerce platform to make it very simple for trade customers to do business with the Company as well as new and upgraded software allowing the capture of improved customer and market information.
Sacred Hill is also streamlining internal processes to ensure it is ready for continued growth.
“Previously, Hancocks Wine & Spirit Merchants has distributed Sacred Hills’ award winning wines in New Zealand, and we would like to acknowledge their long support of our brands,” says Mr Mason.
Sacred Hill gratefully acknowledges the assistance of New Zealand Trade and Enterprise which has assisted the company with market development and internal capability building in the past couple of years through their programmes and expertise.
