New manager for Rotorua Visitor Centre & i-Site
ROTORUA 18.06.12: Rotorua District Council (RDC) has appointed Graham Brownrigg manager of the Rotorua Visitor Centre & i-Site.
Mr Brownrigg is currently an account manager at Sharp Corporation, and previously held management positions at NZ Post where he won the ‘Customer Choice’ award in the Rotorua Business Awards, and led his team to the finals of the Post Shop of the Year Awards.
He has been involved in the organisation of retail promotions and events in the CBD, including the Rotorua Farmers Market and Last of the Summer Wine Food & Wine Festival.
RDC Economic & Regulatory Services group manager Mark Rawson said the key focus of Mr Brownrigg’s new role will be on improving the overall visitor experience at the visitor centre complex and developing a high performing sales team.
He says Mr Brownrigg’s responsibilities will also include adding value to Rotorua visitor industry products, providing specialised packaging and innovative new services that get more people visiting Rotorua, and raising the profile of the services provided to both visitors and locals.
“I’m delighted that we’ve secured someone with Graham’s skills and depth of experience in both the retail and sales sector.
“He has a solid background in building high performing sales teams, and we’re really looking forward to having him with us on our team.”
Mr Brownrigg starts his new role managing Rotorua Visitor Centre & i-Site on Tuesday 3 July.
