Regional awards reveal top players

Harcourts acknowledged the successes of its top performing Sales Consultants at four regional end of year awards ceremonies held across the country last week.

Harcourts, New Zealand’s largest real estate group, awarded for the 2011/2012 financial year which were received by individuals and offices from the Northern, Central, Wellington and Christchurch regions.

Harcourts Group Chief Executive Officer, Hayden Duncan says that it is crucial to recognise and celebrate our consultants’ achievements as they tirelessly continue to deliver outstanding results for homebuyers and investors alike.

“The success that Harcourts achieve year on year, regardless of its challenges is due to the ongoing faith our clients place in our people to consistently deliver market leading results in an exceptionally professional way. I congratulate each and every consultant in the country and especially our award winners for this year.”

“Given the enormity of our group, every award won regionally and nationally is fraught with fierce competition. The calibre of our top consultants is revered by all others in the industry. All results then go into the pool of Harcourts’ international awards. This competitive nature is why we hold the dominating market share in places like Christchurch, are the largest in New Zealand, are in over 10 countries and 773 offices in the world with close to 1700 sales consultants nationally, 5012 consultants globally supported by record sales. There is no question that we breed only the best,” says Mr Duncan.

“We have a team of people that have not only continued and pressed on within an environment of challenge and change but have exceeded in it. What some have been through is phenomenal. The effects of Christchurch have affected all businesses in one way or the other and the real estate industry has especially felt it.”

“As a global, national and local brand we recognise that it’s time to put a stake in the ground and move the industry ahead and by doing things like offering a scholarship to educated people with experience in the workforce, we are offering a chance to upskill themselves with full support and training so they have a chance to have a successful career over the rest of their working life. Much like the people we have celebrated this last week.”

“Real estate is no longer a job that just anyone can enter into as once thought - it is a profession requiring in depth training, a natural ability to be the best and for some it can be a life changing career move,” comments Mr. Duncan.

“With the largest in-house training facilities of any real estate company in the country, Harcourts goal is to grow the industry that not only maintains the ‘Harcourts Way’ as the ‘industry standard’ in terms of real estate services, but in doing so delivers outstanding real estate experiences to buyers and sellers,” says Mr. Duncan.

The four centre’s regional awards precede the National Awards ceremony held at the upcoming Harcourts Group Annual Conference at Auckland’s SKYCITY 21st-23rd of May, which is not only the largest real estate conference in New Zealand but has sold out for the first time in its history.

Harcourts will turn 125 years next year standing as the oldest real estate business in New Zealand with over 1640 consultants and 168 offices nationwide has just launched a scholarship programme for those wanting a change in career (www.opennewdoors.co.nz)
