$500,000 donated through SBS and HBS Bank’s Star package.
This week, SBS and HBS Bank are pleased to announce that combined they have given back $500,000 to local community
groups through their Star banking package.
Nationwide, more than 1,780 non-profit community groups and clubs have signed up for the Star package which offers
fee-free banking and the added benefit of 10 monthly prize draws of $1,000 for all account holders.
SBS Bank General Manager of Retail Paul Atkinson said the Star banking package had been a great asset to the business.
“Since its launch in 2008 our Star package has really grown from strength to strength. It’s a great feeling to know that
we have given away $500,000 to some very worthy non-profit organisations.
“From the Otumoetai Tennis Club in the Bay of Plenty right down to the Bluff Bowling Club in Southland we’re pleased to
have helped out 500 community groups throughout New Zealand. These non-profit groups work extremely hard so it’s great
that we can give something back to them.
“Our Star package really does embody everything that SBS and HBS Bank stands for; support for our customers and
investment in their communities to make them a better place for everyone to live. It’s something we’re extremely proud
of and one which is very close to our hearts.”
