Intel Makes Two Appointments to ANZ Leadership Team
Intel today announced two appointments to its Australia and New Zealand leadership team. Anna Torres has been appointed National Marketing Manager, and V.R Rajkumar (Raj) has been appointed to National Reseller Channel Manager.
Kate Burleigh, recently appointed General Manager for Intel Australia and New Zealand, said, “Anna and Raj have both been prominent and influential members of the Intel team for a number of years and will bring strong direction and vision to their new roles.”
As National Marketing Manager, Torres will be responsible for the overall marketing strategy for Intel ANZ and will manage a team which includes advertising, public relations, retail, online, partner and channel marketing.
Torres has been with Intel for nine years and has held the position of Intel ANZ PR Manager since 2007. Prior to her role as PR Manager, Torres worked as a Strategic Relationship Manager within Intel’s Enterprise group where she was the Oracle Alliance Manager. Torres holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Technology, Sydney.
“Anna has overseen some exceptional success during her time as Public Relations Manager and her creative approach to PR and marketing, as well as her deep knowledge of Intel made her the outstanding candidate for this role. She will manage a highly skilled marketing team and together they will continue to focus on the growth and innovation of Intel’s brand in Australia and New Zealand,” said Burleigh.
In his new role as National Reseller Channel Manager, Raj will manage Intel’s Local Channel and Branded Distribution Sales Team. Raj first joined Intel in 2000, based in India, before moving to Australia with Intel in 2005. He has held the pivotal role of Intel A/NZ Distribution Manager since 2007. Raj holds a Bachelor of Engineering majoring in computer science, from Madras University.
“During his 12 years at Intel, Raj has amassed a great deal of knowledge. He is well-known within the IT reseller channel and has presided over a number of critical technology transitions and new product introductions within his time, the most recent being the launch of Intel’s 3rd Generation processors and Ultrabook computers. Raj’s extensive experience positions him well to lead and manage the local channel team through this exciting growth stage,” said Burleigh.
Both new appointments are effective immediately.
