Anna Stove appointed General Manager GlaxoSmithKline New Zealand

Anna Stove has been appointed General Manager GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) New Zealand, to succeed Geoff McDonald, effective 1 May 2012.

Anna, previously Head of Vaccines GSK New Zealand, said she was grateful to Geoff for his leadership and support during his time as General Manager of New Zealand.

“It’s been great to work closely with Geoff over the last few years. He has been a mentor to me and is leaving the New Zealand business in fantastic shape.”

GSK Asia Pacific Senior Vice President & Area Director, Fabio Landazabal, said “Anna is commercially astute and an inspirational leader with a successful track record in leading and managing businesses within the pharmaceutical sector. She is forward thinking, entrepreneurial and the right person to lead New Zealand through its next phase of growth.”

Anna joined GSK in 1990 and has progressed through a variety of local, regional & global roles within New Zealand, Japan and the UK. She has a robust marketing background and has held commercial, sales and research & development roles within the company.

Anna also spent four years working for Gilead Sciences International where she was the HIV Commercial Lead based in the UK.
