Kiwibank Celebrates 10 Years
Kiwibank has launched a new brand campaign to mark 10 years since it opened for business, using 10-year-old Kiwi children and the music of Neil Finn.
In this new brand campaign, created by Ogilvy, Kiwibank uses 10-year-old Kiwis pledging what they’re standing up for. Kiwibank Chief Executive Mr Brock said the bank has been able to include the music of a quintessential Kiwi for the campaign, using Neil Finn’s soundtrack “Can You Hear Us?” re-recorded by Jeremy Redmore of Midnight Youth.
Mr Brock said that it is the first time Neil has ever agreed to lend one of his tracks to a commercial entity.
Neil is also patron of the recently established New Zealand Music Foundation, a not-for-profit charitable trust that funds projects enriching the lives of New Zealanders in need through music. Kiwibank and Neil have agreed that all the proceeds from the first 20,000 downloads of the soundtrack go to the NZ Music Foundation – which will be available exclusively on the Kiwibank website.
The campaign was launched on Sunday 22 April 2012.
