Contiki offers two FREE trips to Mexico in return for making a change during Earth Week 2012
March, 2012: Contiki (www.contiki.com) is offering consumers the chance to win one of two free trips to Mexico to dive the Mesoamerican Reef with Céline Cousteau and learn about the efforts that the MAR Leadership Foundation is making in protecting the Reef System.
The competition asks travellers to share with Contiki using #contikichange on Twitter @Contiki or Facebook http://www.facebook.com/Contiki, what they will be changing during Earth Week 2012, for the chance to win a 10-day trip to Mexico. The campaign is supported via social discussion around the topics of conservation and sustainability, providing easy tips, facts and interesting content on the subject that will be tweeted and posted throughout the two-week promotion.
The competition is in an effort to get Contiki’s target audience (18-35s) thinking about the small, simple changes they can make to help protect the environment.
Winners will travel to Mexico on a 6-day Yucatan Highlights tour before heading to Banco Chinchorro to dive the MAR Reef with Céline Cousteau and be part of a short film supporting the work Contiki’s cause partner, MAR Leaders, is doing to protect the Reef System. Contiki will pay for and arrange PADI diving courses for travellers who don’t currently have a dive licence. An international return economy flight is also included for each of the two winners.
Already live, the competition closes on the April 6 (GMT). Winners will be selected by Céline Cousteau and announced at the start of Earth Week on April 16.
The promotion is part of a wider pledge from Contiki to implement change, large or small, over the next 365 days. The two lucky winners will travel with seven members of the Contiki Team from around the globe, who have been selected by Céline Cousteau as leaders tasked with making change happen in their respective regions.
As a founding member of The Travel Corporation Conservation Foundation (www.ttcconservationfoundation.com), Contiki is committed to making change to protect the planet for the future, and has partnered with Conservation ambassador Céline Cousteau and MAR Leaders to contribute to environmental efforts in marine preservation.
