New Face of Pantene Announced

A simple swish of Kiwi beauty Morgan Harrison's hair was all it took to be selected to feature in an upcoming Pantene Aqua Light television commercial.

The supermarket haircare giant launched a nationwide 'Make a Swisssh' competition to celebrate the release of its new Aqua Light formula.

Morgan, who grew up in Thames and now calls Auckland home, was among thousands of entrants keen to show off their model tresses by entering the competition.

As well as winning $10,000, Morgan features in a new print campaign for Pantene's Aqua Light, from Procter & Gamble (P&G), the company behind some of New Zealand's most well-known brands.

Morgan says she was thrilled to learn she had won the competition and hopes it will be the springboard for a career in modelling.

"I didn't really believe it at first," she says when she received the news that she had won. "I had to get three other people to read it and check that it was real. My parents couldn't believe it either."

The 22-year-old works in sales and says shooting the campaign was a dream come true.

"I was pretty nervous at first but it was really fun and I had an incredible time. It was like nothing I've ever done before," says Morgan.

P&G spokesperson Lisa Cunningham says the 'Make a Swisssh' competition was a huge success and Morgan fits the brand perfectly.

"Pantene is all about great hair care for women and while it was an incredibly hard decision for the judges, Morgan was a very deserving winner," says Cunningham.

"The Make a Swisssh competition demonstrated how women throughout New Zealand are getting great swishable results by using Pantene Aqua Light."

Morgan says she fell in love with Pantene Aqua Light the first time she tried it.

"It really does what it says it will do - it makes my hair feel so much lighter than any other product I've tried before," she says.

Competition entrants had to wash their hair with Pantene Aqua Light Shampoo and Conditioner; capture a video of them flicking their hair from side to side; and upload their most stylish Swisssh to the competition website.

Judges took into account the appearance of entrants' hair, as well as the quality of their Swisssh when deciding the winner.

Pantene Scientists formulated the new Pantene Aqua Light range using their innovative Clean Rinse Technology. The system delivers hydration and rinses clean with zero residue, leaving hair with a weightless feel - a must for creating the perfect Swisssh.
