Changes at Queenstown Public Relations Company
The directors of Queenstown-based public relations company Southern Public Relations Limited (Southern PR) have announced a change in the ownership structure of the company.
Owned and operated for 16 years by Fiona Woodham and Alexa Forbes, the company announced today (Thursday March 1) that long-standing director Alexa Forbes is to leave to pursue other interests.
Ms Forbes has sold her interests in the business to Ms Woodham so she can pursue new directions, beginning with full time study. The change in ownership will take effect as of March 31 2012.
Ms Woodham said the partnership had been one of many highs, building a business “from scratch” into a highly successful PR agency with national and international reach.
“Southern PR has more experience and understanding of the tourism industry in particular, and its challenges and opportunities, than any other PR company in New Zealand,” she said.
“Alexa and I, with the help of fabulous staff, have built the business together over the years developing strong client, industry and media relationships that have benefited all stakeholders.”
Under the new ownership structure the company will continue to deliver the same exceptional service and results for which it is renowned.
“Southern PR is very much looking forward to continuing those relationships, many of which were developed in the first year of operation, as well as welcoming new clients and projects.”
Ms Woodham said she and the Southern PR staff wished Ms Forbes all the very best in her new ventures.
